Pugongshan Geology
The Pugong Mountain Geological Museum integrates the old and new gypsum kilns, and uses the old kiln group as the landmark gate of the overall site park. The kiln head is transformed into a viewing platform, and one of the old kilns is used as the main entrance of the museum. Key mining areas are set as ecological education points, and viewing windows and viewing platforms are set up at the corresponding positions of the museum building, so that the museum building is tightly anchored in this special place.
Pugongshan Geology Museum by Baofeng Li was identified as an outstanding representation of architectural design by the A' Design Award & Competition. Pugongshan Geology Museum earned the Silver A' Design Award in Architecture, Building and Structure Design in 2022. The A' Architecture, Building and Structure Design Award is an international, juried, academic and meritocratic design recognition program that recognizes outstanding design of skyscrapers, museums, residential buildings, commercial complexes, educational institutions, religious structures, infrastructure designs, landscaping projects and more.
