Taikan Fast Sushi
Taikan Fast Sushi is a Japanese restaurant interior covering 350 square meters. The design offers a practical, modern and welcoming dining experience. The same prefabricated covering is applied to the floor, walls and ceiling, recreating the look of a space made entirely of wood. The single material choice reduced cost and shortened construction time. LED profiles embedded in the wall and ceiling cross the space in lines that recall chopsticks. A large buffet counter and several service points support fast service. Tables are spaced for comfort and seat 183 people.
Taikan Fast Sushi Restaurant by Dimitri Lociks was highlighted as a grand illustration of architectural design by the A' Design Award & Competition. Taikan Fast Sushi Restaurant received the Silver A' Design Award in Interior Space and Exhibition Design in 2022. The A' Interior Space, Retail and Exhibition Design Award is an international, jury-voted, fair and ethical design competition which recognizes superior design of residential interiors, restaurants, hotels, offices, galleries, retail stores, showrooms, exhibition spaces and more.
