Cavaliere
Cavaliere is an Italian restaurant located in Nea Smyrni, Athens, Greece. The space covers 200 square meters and is divided into an entrance and bar area, a seating and table area, and an open kitchen. Rustic elements were avoided in favor of multilevel decoration with golden metallic details, green marble, velvet fabrics and art deco features. Gold wood-fired pizza ovens recall traditional Italian food. Different light sources emphasize the architectural details. The seating area can adapt to the weather and open fully.
Cavaliere Restaurant by Konstantinos Gkagkos was featured as a grand illustration of architectural design by the A' Design Award. Cavaliere Restaurant won the Silver A' Design Award in Interior Space and Exhibition Design in 2022. The A' Interior Space, Retail and Exhibition Design Award is an international, juried, academic and meritocratic design award which honors outstanding design of residential interiors, restaurants, hotels, offices, galleries, retail stores, showrooms, exhibition spaces and more.
