Soaking in Daylight
Soaking in Daylight is a residential interior design for a 39-ping apartment in Taiwan with three bedrooms and two living areas. The interior combines Japanese simplicity with a modern luxurious character. Wooden materials are used for the floors, doors, system cabinets, tables and chairs, while white and grey walls keep the rooms calm. Terrazzo flooring marks the entryway, and the living room walls carry an architectural concrete coating. Glass doors, windows and shelves draw daylight into the master bedroom. The open layout supports free movement between the shared areas.
Soaking in Daylight Residence by Yu-Hsuan Lin was recognized as an outstanding example of architectural design by the A' Design Award. Soaking in Daylight Residence won the Iron A' Design Award in Interior Space and Exhibition Design in 2022. The A' Interior Space, Retail and Exhibition Design Award is a highly prestigious international design award which recognizes superior design of residential interiors, restaurants, hotels, offices, galleries, retail stores, showrooms, exhibition spaces and more.
