Neverland
Neverland is a club interior set on a forested hillside beside Fuxian Lake in Kunming. The building leans against the mountain, and the interior is planned to link inside and outside. Wide doors and windows frame views of the mountains and the lake from many angles. A monolithic block structure leaves precise gaps, so upper and lower levels stay connected and circulation continues around the space. Materials include light-coloured artificial stone, wood veneer, textured paint, chiselled stone, metal wood grilles and brass. The interior covers 3000 square metres.
Neverland Club by Zeajoy Cultural Communication Co., Ltd was highlighted as an innovative representation of architectural design by the A' Design Award. Neverland Club earned the Silver A' Design Award in Interior Space and Exhibition Design in 2022. The A' Interior Space, Retail and Exhibition Design Award is an international, juried, academic and meritocratic design accolade which rewards outstanding design of residential interiors, restaurants, hotels, offices, galleries, retail stores, showrooms, exhibition spaces and more.
