Neobio
Neobio is a family park located in Futian District, Shenzhen, China. The interior floor area is 200 square meters. A seven meter high pacifier symbol on the front facade marks the theme of childhood growth. The arc-shaped entrance and the reversed arc above create an upward visual movement. Outdoor installations take the form of cellular water droplets and recall cell growth and division. Materials include ceramic tile, aluminum, terrazzo, acrylic, leather and carpet. Steel frames fixed to existing beams and columns support the curved aluminum facade.
Neobio Family Park by PIG DESIGN was identified as an exceptional illustration of architectural design by the A' Design Award. Neobio Family Park earned the Silver A' Design Award in Interior Space and Exhibition Design in 2022. The A' Interior Space, Retail and Exhibition Design Award is a juried, academic and highly prestigious design accolade which honors exceptional design of residential interiors, restaurants, hotels, offices, galleries, retail stores, showrooms, exhibition spaces and more.
