Bioteka
The Bioteka project has been hailed in Polish trade media as probably the greenest library in Europe. It is a project inspired by nature, ecology and the idea of sustainable development. It is important to emphasize that this is a complete project, which means that not only the interior architecture is inspired by nature, but the didactic program implemented by the librarians is focused on promoting an ecological lifestyle and the idea of sustainable development. Some of the building materials are recycled and the greenery inside comes from the collection of Lublin residents.
Bioteka Public Library by Grzegorz Kłoda has been recognized as a grand example of architectural design by the A' Design Award. Bioteka Public Library earned the Iron A' Design Award in Interior Space and Exhibition Design in 2022. The A' Interior Space, Retail and Exhibition Design Award is a highly prestigious international design prize which recognizes outstanding design of residential interiors, restaurants, hotels, offices, galleries, retail stores, showrooms, exhibition spaces and more.
