Nanning Tanjing
Nanning Tanjing is a display center located in Nanning, China. The building group is integrated with the surrounding landscape. Curves drawn from local mountain and water forms shape the facade, and rock slices are stacked into spreading curves at the main entrance. The complex includes an entrance square, landscape steps, an art corridor, a semi-outdoor swimming pool and a health technology clubhouse. A tandem circulation route guides visitors through the spaces and reduces crowding. Open courtyards return public space to the city.
Nanning Tanjing Display Center by Quincy Li was recognized as an outstanding illustration of architectural design by the A' Design Award. Nanning Tanjing Display Center won the Golden A' Design Award in Architecture, Building and Structure Design in 2022. The A' Architecture, Building and Structure Design Award is a highly prestigious, international, juried design prize that rewards superior design of skyscrapers, museums, residential buildings, commercial complexes, educational institutions, religious structures, infrastructure designs, landscaping projects and more.
