NorthYork Design
NorthYork Design is an office interior of 100 square meters. The office contains a reception area, a counter, a meeting area, a working space and a tea room. Natural stucco, hand-applied paint, wood and stone form a calm and uncluttered setting in low-chroma colors. A reception desk of iron and veneer is lit from below, which reduces the visual weight of the volume. Transparent glass partitions replace solid walls, so the areas stay open and connected. Floor-to-ceiling windows bring daylight and views of greenery into the space.
NorthYork Design Office by Alex Hsiung has been highlighted as an innovative representation of architectural design by the A' Design Awards. NorthYork Design Office won the Bronze A' Design Award in Interior Space and Exhibition Design in 2022. The A' Interior Space, Retail and Exhibition Design Award is an international, jury-voted, fair and ethical design recognition program which recognizes outstanding design of residential interiors, restaurants, hotels, offices, galleries, retail stores, showrooms, exhibition spaces and more.
