Wenzhou Vanke Center

Wenzhou Vanke Center is a commercial and office building in Lucheng District, Wenzhou, China. The design applies the idea of a Shan-shui city, bringing traditional Chinese elements such as bamboo, hills, streams and paths into a modern structure. Ceramic plates, aluminium sheets and printed glass form the facade, with a lighting waterfall, stone-shaped steps and aluminium bamboo forms. A waterfront square and large steps link the shops to nearby parks, and trees on the east side reduce noise. A running track on the top floor offers space for exercise and rest.

Wenzhou Vanke Center Commerce and Office Building by FENG CHENG has been recognized as an innovative example of architectural design by the A' Design Award. Wenzhou Vanke Center Commerce and Office Building was awarded the Bronze A' Design Award in Architecture, Building and Structure Design in 2022. The A' Architecture, Building and Structure Design Award is an international, meritocratic, just and fair design recognition program which honors exceptional design of skyscrapers, museums, residential buildings, commercial complexes, educational institutions, religious structures, infrastructure designs, landscaping projects and more.
