Wacai Headquarters
Wacai Headquarters is an office building in Hangzhou, China, designed as a green and sustainable structure. The cylindrical form is oriented north to south and is interwoven with skyrise gardens. The shape brings natural light into the office spaces, which reduces the use of artificial lighting. Extensive landscaped areas across the site help to offset carbon emissions and to regulate the ambient temperature, lowering the reliance on climate control systems. The circular plan also uses fewer wall, floor and roof materials, giving a smaller ecological footprint.
Wacai Headquarters Office Building by Yin Seng Ng has been identified as a grand representation of architectural design by the A' Design Award & Competition. Wacai Headquarters Office Building was awarded the Silver A' Design Award in Architecture, Building and Structure Design in 2022. The A' Architecture, Building and Structure Design Award is a juried, academic and highly prestigious design recognition program which recognizes outstanding design of skyscrapers, museums, residential buildings, commercial complexes, educational institutions, religious structures, infrastructure designs, landscaping projects and more.
