The Satellite Flare
The Satellite Flare is a residential interior design completed in Taiwan. Natural materials and light colors extend across the floors, walls, and ceiling. Wooden cabinets are placed on the large beams and columns to reduce their heavy appearance and to add storage. Blank doors conceal cabinets, a refrigerator, and storage space, so the surfaces stay consistent. A long table in the kitchen area serves as a place for dining, hosting, study, and meetings. Tinted mirrors, linear lighting, and roller blinds complete the calm and open interior.
The Satellite Flare Residential by Ivan Kao has been recognized as an exceptional example of architectural design by the A' Design Award & Competition. The Satellite Flare Residential earned the Iron A' Design Award in Interior Space and Exhibition Design in 2022. The A' Interior Space, Retail and Exhibition Design Award is an international, jury-voted, fair and ethical design prize that celebrates outstanding design of residential interiors, restaurants, hotels, offices, galleries, retail stores, showrooms, exhibition spaces and more.
