Overture of Daylight
Overture of Daylight is a residential interior design for a home used to host guests. Clear partitions between the kitchen, dining room and living room are removed, and ornaments and furniture imply each area instead. The open plan makes the interior look wider and easier to use for gatherings. Large French windows bring in daylight, together with adjustable blinds and Japanese lattices. White paint, wood, veneer and stone give a calm and elegant character. A reception room with tatami and a low wood platform receives visitors.
Overture of Daylight Residential by YI-XIANG LIN has been recognized as a grand illustration of architectural design by the A' Design Award. Overture of Daylight Residential was awarded the Iron A' Design Award in Interior Space and Exhibition Design in 2022. The A' Interior Space, Retail and Exhibition Design Award is an international, juried, academic and meritocratic design recognition program that celebrates exceptional design of residential interiors, restaurants, hotels, offices, galleries, retail stores, showrooms, exhibition spaces and more.
