Sounds of Silence
Sounds of Silence is a residential apartment interior located in the heart of Taichung city. The project covers an internal space of 115 square meters. The dining, living and study areas are combined into one open space that supports family life. A large curtain wall frames the external landscape like a picture and brings natural sunlight into the rooms. A darker entry corridor with a semi-transparent automatic door forms a calm transition from outside. The ceiling was levelled to a uniform height, giving the interior a simple and quiet character.
Sounds of Silence Residential Apartment by Timeless Space Design was featured as an exceptional representation of architectural design by the A' Design Award & Competition. Sounds of Silence Residential Apartment received the Bronze A' Design Award in Interior Space and Exhibition Design in 2022. The A' Interior Space, Retail and Exhibition Design Award is a juried, academic and highly prestigious design accolade that celebrates outstanding design of residential interiors, restaurants, hotels, offices, galleries, retail stores, showrooms, exhibition spaces and more.
