Sierra Hijauan
Sierra Hijauan is a residential interior design for a house of about 4000 square feet in Ampang, Malaysia. Curved surfaces are used throughout to soften the look of sharp edges and to create a calm and comfortable feeling. Only warm tone materials are applied, including light tone wood, raw marble surfaces and matte finishes. Ambient lighting gives general illumination and highlights the furniture. In the master bedroom, a partition between the walk-in closet and the sleeping area holds a display rack and a see-through window. All cabinets are built with a modular system.
Sierra Hijauan Residential House by Jack Lim was selected as an innovative illustration of architectural design by the A' Design Award & Competition. Sierra Hijauan Residential House won the Bronze A' Design Award in Interior Space and Exhibition Design in 2022. The A' Interior Space, Retail and Exhibition Design Award is an international, jury-voted, fair and ethical design award which celebrates exceptional design of residential interiors, restaurants, hotels, offices, galleries, retail stores, showrooms, exhibition spaces and more.
