Sophisticated In Style
Sophisticated in Style is a residential interior design covering 495 square meters in Taichung, Taiwan. Warmth, careful lighting and clear circulation are the main goals of the project. Beige tones are combined with panels of different textures, such as stone and wood, to form a modern style. On the third floor, a shared reading area has a ceiling painted with a starry sky pattern that emits a faint light after the lamps are switched off. In the second floor study, a lifting table retracts into the floor, so the room can also be used for yoga and stretching.
Sophisticated In Style Residential Space by Chih-Yuan Chen was highlighted as an exceptional illustration of architectural design by the A' Design Awards. Sophisticated In Style Residential Space won the Iron A' Design Award in Interior Space and Exhibition Design in 2021. The A' Interior Space, Retail and Exhibition Design Award is a highly prestigious, international, juried design award that honors excellent design of residential interiors, restaurants, hotels, offices, galleries, retail stores, showrooms, exhibition spaces and more.
