KennaXu Gallery
KennaXu Gallery is an art gallery located in an old residential community in Shenzhen, China. The 223 square meter space was converted from a former residence with two narrow and dim floors. White is the dominant colour, creating a simple and inclusive backdrop that reveals the colour and composition of the exhibited paintings. Materials include latex paint, membrane, wooden flooring, ultra-clear glass, white tile and white stainless steel. Unusual windows bring in light and outdoor sounds, linking the gallery with daily life in the community.
KennaXu Gallery Showroom by DA INTEGRATING LIMITED was selected as an exceptional representation of architectural design by the A' Design Award & Competition. KennaXu Gallery Showroom won the Iron A' Design Award in Interior Space and Exhibition Design in 2021. The A' Interior Space, Retail and Exhibition Design Award is an international, juried, academic and meritocratic design competition that celebrates excellent design of residential interiors, restaurants, hotels, offices, galleries, retail stores, showrooms, exhibition spaces and more.
