Elegance House
Elegance House is a residential apartment interior of 77 square meters in Taipei City. The design builds on classical elements and renews them with a modern vocabulary. Inspired by ripples, the shaped form is applied to the cabinets and the ceiling. Door panels of white wood veneer carve out classical curves, paired with titanium-plated handles with a copper shine. Metallic spray replaces traditional moldings on the ceiling. A low wall separates the living and dining rooms without blocking the view, making full use of the limited space.
Elegance House Residential Apartment by Chia-Lun Chan has been recognized as an innovative representation of architectural design by the A' Design Award & Competition. Elegance House Residential Apartment won the Iron A' Design Award in Interior Space and Exhibition Design in 2021. The A' Interior Space, Retail and Exhibition Design Award is an international, meritocratic, just and fair design award which honors superior design of residential interiors, restaurants, hotels, offices, galleries, retail stores, showrooms, exhibition spaces and more.
