U Media
U Media is an office interior design covering about 100 square meters in Qingdao. The palette is based on black, white and gray, with low saturation and high brightness to create a calm and open atmosphere. An open arched doorway divides the plan while keeping the space fluid and avoiding a cramped feeling. A four-meter bar beside the arch separates functional areas and offers a place for coffee and tea. Local anti-glare lighting at 4000K brightens the desk area. Soft boards on the walls hold notes and soften the surfaces.
U Media Office by Zi Zhai has been recognized as a grand illustration of architectural design by the A' Design Awards. U Media Office was awarded the Silver A' Design Award in Interior Space and Exhibition Design in 2021. The A' Interior Space, Retail and Exhibition Design Award is an international, meritocratic, just and fair design recognition program which honors exceptional design of residential interiors, restaurants, hotels, offices, galleries, retail stores, showrooms, exhibition spaces and more.
