Phoenix Mansion
Phoenix Mansion is a sales center in Chengdu, China. The building covers 200 square meters and is built with aluminum panels, glass and stone. The entrance is placed at a corner, where a long overhang forms a horizontal transitional space that invites visitors inside. Landscape elements in the front yard refer to classic Chinese gardens. Courtyards planted with bamboo are set on the east and west sides. The white central space has a sloped roof that reflects sunlight. French windows connect the interior and exterior spaces.
Phoenix Mansion Sales Center by gad has been highlighted as a creative example of architectural design by the A' Design Award & Competition. Phoenix Mansion Sales Center won the Silver A' Design Award in Architecture, Building and Structure Design in 2021. The A' Architecture, Building and Structure Design Award is a juried, academic and highly prestigious design prize which honors superior design of skyscrapers, museums, residential buildings, commercial complexes, educational institutions, religious structures, infrastructure designs, landscaping projects and more.
