City Forest
City Forest is a residential interior design for a 128 square metre home in Taichung, Taiwan. The layout is open, and warm light gives the rooms a bright and calm character. Colourful objects add contrast and bring out the different layers of the space. Eco-friendly decorative paint covers the living room walls, while the bedroom cabinets are made of wood-based panels. The flooring uses non-timber forest products. A three-sided door frame at the entryway and textured sliding door panels unify the appearance and improve the flow.
City Forest Residential Space by Chien-Neng Chang has been recognized as a creative example of architectural design by the A' Design Award & Competition. City Forest Residential Space was awarded the Iron A' Design Award in Interior Space and Exhibition Design in 2021. The A' Interior Space, Retail and Exhibition Design Award is a highly prestigious, international, juried design recognition program which recognizes superior design of residential interiors, restaurants, hotels, offices, galleries, retail stores, showrooms, exhibition spaces and more.
