Gentle L By Alan Yu
Gentle L by Alan Yu is a French restaurant located in Shenzhen, China. The interior covers 800 square metres and departs from the traditional restaurant layout. At the centre of the space stands a large steel column clad in hand-made wrinkled aluminium, and the wrinkles soften the column and form a visual highlight. Curved stainless steel screens separate the private rooms and keep a clear field of vision, so service is given without disturbing diners. The semi-enclosed plan offers privacy and changing views.
Gentle L By Alan Yu Restaurant by Peihe Xie was identified as an innovative representation of architectural design by the A' Design Award & Competition. Gentle L By Alan Yu Restaurant received the Bronze A' Design Award in Interior Space and Exhibition Design in 2021. The A' Interior Space, Retail and Exhibition Design Award is a highly prestigious international design prize that rewards outstanding design of residential interiors, restaurants, hotels, offices, galleries, retail stores, showrooms, exhibition spaces and more.
