Essence of Void
Essence of Void is a residential interior design in Taipei City, Taiwan, covering an area of 75.9 square meters. The home contains a foyer, living room, dining room, two bedrooms, two bathrooms and a kitchen. Unnecessary walls were removed to create an open plan. Gray mineral paint covers the walls and concrete epoxy forms the flooring. A black wood island with a metal structure and a stone-like storage cabinet define each zone without solid boundaries. An arched hallway and a curved recessed ceiling soften the monochrome interior.
Essence of Void Residential Project by Studio One was featured as a grand example of architectural design by the A' Design Award & Competition. Essence of Void Residential Project won the Bronze A' Design Award in Interior Space and Exhibition Design in 2021. The A' Interior Space, Retail and Exhibition Design Award is a highly prestigious, international, juried design recognition program which rewards superior design of residential interiors, restaurants, hotels, offices, galleries, retail stores, showrooms, exhibition spaces and more.
