Paganini Rhapsody
Paganini Rhapsody is a residential interior design for a villa on a site of 231 square meters in Taiwan. The original stairs on the first floor were replaced with barrier-free ramps to allow easier wheelchair access in the future. A red column provides structural reinforcement and shapes the space. The living area is placed behind hidden doors, while a wooden grille conceals the bedroom, bathroom and storage. Separated metal plates recall golden keys and strings. Partitions were removed and openings rearranged to improve light and ventilation.
Paganini Rhapsody Residential by Chen Yung cheng was highlighted as a creative illustration of architectural design by the A' Design Award & Competition. Paganini Rhapsody Residential was awarded the Bronze A' Design Award in Interior Space and Exhibition Design in 2021. The A' Interior Space, Retail and Exhibition Design Award is an international, jury-voted, fair and ethical design recognition program which celebrates superior design of residential interiors, restaurants, hotels, offices, galleries, retail stores, showrooms, exhibition spaces and more.
