Heting Barbecue
Heting Barbecue is a restaurant and bar interior located on the third floor of a commercial building in Jinan. The 360 square meter space combines barbecue dining, an izakaya, a music restaurant and a bar. Wood, stone, light and shadow are arranged in an architectural manner, creating varied views within a limited area. A dislocated background wall stands at the center of the dining area, where lighting reveals contrasts between different material surfaces. Old green bricks recall the historic character of the city.
Heting Barbecue Restaurant and Bar by Jianning Wang was featured as an outstanding illustration of architectural design by the A' Design Awards. Heting Barbecue Restaurant and Bar won the Silver A' Design Award in Interior Space and Exhibition Design in 2021. The A' Interior Space, Retail and Exhibition Design Award is an international, meritocratic, just and fair design award that celebrates excellent design of residential interiors, restaurants, hotels, offices, galleries, retail stores, showrooms, exhibition spaces and more.
