Flowing Oriental
Flowing Oriental is a sales office interior located in Fuzhou, China. The design draws on the local fishing port culture, with references to arched bridges, boats and flowing water. Lacquer finishes and ink-like surfaces recall regional porcelain and lacquer crafts. A bow ring installation, three meters high and 3.6 meters in diameter with a 50 millimeter thin edge profile, marks the main experience area. Fluid structures, light and shadow connect the entrance, the installation area and the booth area, creating a calm and continuous visual flow.
Flowing Oriental Sales Office by Shenzhen Zerfang Space Design Co. has been identified as an outstanding representation of architectural design by the A' Design Award & Competition. Flowing Oriental Sales Office was awarded the Golden A' Design Award in Interior Space and Exhibition Design in 2021. The A' Interior Space, Retail and Exhibition Design Award is a highly prestigious international design award which honors superior design of residential interiors, restaurants, hotels, offices, galleries, retail stores, showrooms, exhibition spaces and more.
