For Better Life
For Better Life is a residential interior design for a retired couple in Taipei City, Taiwan. The open plan is barrier free and free of steps, which supports safe movement for older residents. Large windows draw in natural light and the surrounding greenery. Birch plywood, cement bricks, wooden flooring, imported tiles and pinewood are used in their original forms with minimal processing. Storage is concentrated in an elevated Japanese style room, while shelves, platforms and open cabinets serve the other rooms. Colorful furniture and soft furnishings create a calm and vibrant atmosphere.
For Better Life Residence by TIEN WUN LI has been identified as a creative representation of architectural design by the A' Design Award. For Better Life Residence was awarded the Bronze A' Design Award in Interior Space and Exhibition Design in 2021.
