Blank Project
Blank Project is an office interior located northeast of central Changsha, China, with a total area of 800 square meters. The white minimalist space serves as a workplace for an interior design studio and as a showroom for its construction company. A floor-to-ceiling automatic sliding door leads into the showroom, which is lit by small imported spotlights. The spacious main hall is left open for large meetings or gallery-style events. A long lit corridor connects the studio and the showroom, and displays material boards of different textures beside a bench of black carbonized timber.
Blank Project Office by Yang PENG has been highlighted as an exceptional example of architectural design by the A' Design Award & Competition. Blank Project Office earned the Silver A' Design Award in Interior Space and Exhibition Design in 2021. The A' Interior Space, Retail and Exhibition Design Award is an international, jury-voted, fair and ethical design competition that recognizes outstanding design of residential interiors, restaurants, hotels, offices, galleries, retail stores, showrooms, exhibition spaces and more.
