Taichung One Palace Residence
Taichung One Palace Residence is a show flat interior located in an upscale district of Taichung, Taiwan. The residence covers 340 square meters and uses marble, wood veneer, brushed metal and wall covering. The public area is divided into three zones for living, dining and study, yet it reads as one continuous space through solid and transparent elements. Contrasts between transparent and solid and between curved and straight forms define the design. Gold tones and water features refer to wealth in traditional Chinese Feng Shui. The result balances traditional and modern character.
Taichung One Palace Residence Show Flat by Chen-Han Yang has been selected as a grand example of architectural design by the A' Design Award. Taichung One Palace Residence Show Flat earned the Iron A' Design Award in Interior Space and Exhibition Design in 2021. The A' Interior Space, Retail and Exhibition Design Award is a juried, academic and highly prestigious design competition which celebrates excellent design of residential interiors, restaurants, hotels, offices, galleries, retail stores, showrooms, exhibition spaces and more.
