Yinchuan Sunac City
Yinchuan Sunac City is a sales center built on the bank of Gedi Lake in Yinchuan, China. The building follows a minimalist approach, with a ring shaped volume and curved lines that follow the shoreline. The half-moon shaped roof tilts toward the lake and connects to a bridge. Slender perforated columns support the two wings of the roof. Built-in light strips glow in the evening. Perforated panels carry holes shaped after the Malan flower, the city flower of Yinchuan. A transparent glass curtain wall faces the lake. The project area is 450 square meters.
Yinchuan Sunac City Sales Center by Arch-Age-Design (AAD) has been highlighted as an outstanding representation of architectural design by the A' Design Awards. Yinchuan Sunac City Sales Center won the Golden A' Design Award in Architecture, Building and Structure Design in 2021. The A' Architecture, Building and Structure Design Award is a highly prestigious, international, juried design recognition program that recognizes excellent design of skyscrapers, museums, residential buildings, commercial complexes, educational institutions, religious structures, infrastructure designs, landscaping projects and more.
