Royale
Royale is a central atrium designed for a palace in Doha, Qatar. The atrium connects all floors across a total height of 16 metres and forms the main circulation area, holding the elevators, staircases and corridors. Carved patterns cover the floor, walls and ceiling within a warm neutral colour scheme. The flooring is water jet cut Italian marble, and the suspended ceiling is made of gypsum board with mouldings. The design follows an 18th century French style to give the interior a calm and elegant character.
Royale Palace Atrium by B5 Design has been recognized as a grand illustration of architectural design by the A' Design Award. Royale Palace Atrium earned the Silver A' Design Award in Interior Space and Exhibition Design in 2021. The A' Interior Space, Retail and Exhibition Design Award is a highly prestigious, international, juried design prize which rewards superior design of residential interiors, restaurants, hotels, offices, galleries, retail stores, showrooms, exhibition spaces and more.
