Qianjiang House
Qianjiang House is a sales center located in Hangzhou, China, covering 2000 square metres. The interior is fully assembled from prefabricated parts, and the recyclable construction supports a green and healthy concept. A Mobius strip, a symbol of the infinite cycle, is expressed as a visible visual form. Spiral pendant lamps recall a ribbon in motion within the large space. The negotiation area uses soft light colours, leather and silk fabric inspired by the Jiangnan oil-paper umbrella. Furniture is detachable and washable where possible, and the air purification system is closely controlled.
Qianjiang House Sales Center by By Design was identified as a grand representation of architectural design by the A' Design Award & Competition. Qianjiang House Sales Center won the Golden A' Design Award in Interior Space and Exhibition Design in 2021. The A' Interior Space, Retail and Exhibition Design Award is an international, juried, academic and meritocratic design prize which honors exceptional design of residential interiors, restaurants, hotels, offices, galleries, retail stores, showrooms, exhibition spaces and more.
