Jian Lin
Jian Lin is an art training center for children, covering 700 square meters. The design replaces the usual corridor and classroom layout with continuous, interlinked spaces for learning, creation and communication. White is used as the base color, allowing children's own artwork to add color. A long blue arc begins in the lobby, runs through the reception area and guides movement across the whole interior. Soft lines follow the many existing columns and turn them into a clear spatial sequence. A glass room with yellow dots forms a triangular picture book area.
Jian Lin Training Center by Jiaxuan Chen was selected as a grand representation of architectural design by the A' Design Awards. Jian Lin Training Center was awarded the Bronze A' Design Award in Interior Space and Exhibition Design in 2021. The A' Interior Space, Retail and Exhibition Design Award is an international, jury-voted, fair and ethical design competition that celebrates outstanding design of residential interiors, restaurants, hotels, offices, galleries, retail stores, showrooms, exhibition spaces and more.
