Tianxi No.1
Tianxi No.1 is a sales center for a residential development in the busy downtown area of Shenzhen, China. The interior covers 1900 square metres and follows a modern oriental theme. A wide waterscape marks the entrance, and a 50 metre waterfront footpath leads visitors inside. Metal mesh screens divide the space and partly reveal the areas beyond. A triangular skylight brings daylight onto the water surface. Calligraphy works are deconstructed and placed on 20 turntable installations. The aim is to offer a quiet and natural atmosphere within a commercial district.
Tianxi No.1 Sales Center by Ben Wu has been recognized as an exceptional representation of architectural design by the A' Design Award & Competition. Tianxi No.1 Sales Center earned the Golden A' Design Award in Interior Space and Exhibition Design in 2021. The A' Interior Space, Retail and Exhibition Design Award is an international, meritocratic, just and fair design recognition program which recognizes exceptional design of residential interiors, restaurants, hotels, offices, galleries, retail stores, showrooms, exhibition spaces and more.
