Uni-park Daxing
Uni-park Daxing is a five-story community shopping center in the south of Beijing. A co-living space occupies the third to fifth floors in the northwest corner and serves as a public place to rest and meet others. The three-story-tall space opens to the street through a large glass wall. Stepping terraces on the west facade create several outdoor activity areas. A rooftop garden is reached from the terraces and from the co-living space. A steel structure carries the upper floors, which overhang the main entrance by five meters.
Uni-park Daxing Community Shopping Center by Aico Ltd was highlighted as an innovative example of architectural design by the A' Design Awards. Uni-park Daxing Community Shopping Center received the Iron A' Design Award in Architecture, Building and Structure Design in 2021. The A' Architecture, Building and Structure Design Award is an international, jury-voted, fair and ethical design competition which celebrates exceptional design of skyscrapers, museums, residential buildings, commercial complexes, educational institutions, religious structures, infrastructure designs, landscaping projects and more.
