Serene Elegance
Serene Elegance is a single-family vacation house completed in Taipei, Taiwan. Concrete and black stone form the exterior, while large areas of glass connect the interior with the surrounding green landscape. The double-height living room rises six meters and is finished with wood and stone materials. A light-colored marble television wall reaches the ceiling and extends the sense of space. High-toughness tiles create texture on the floor and the facade. A heat insulation film on the building surface reduces the effect of summer sunlight.
Serene Elegance Residence by Yi Ta Lee was identified as a creative representation of architectural design by the A' Design Award & Competition. Serene Elegance Residence was awarded the Bronze A' Design Award in Interior Space and Exhibition Design in 2021. The A' Interior Space, Retail and Exhibition Design Award is an international, jury-voted, fair and ethical design award which celebrates exceptional design of residential interiors, restaurants, hotels, offices, galleries, retail stores, showrooms, exhibition spaces and more.
