Truffle Forest
Truffle Forest is a residential interior design for a private home. The layout breaks the conventional three-bedroom plan and links indoor and outdoor areas to enlarge the space. Titanium-plated metal screens, silver-grey marble, wood veneer and electrified glass form light partitions that can be made clear or private. The balcony combines stainless steel raised flooring, marble and teak wood with a water curtain, a bar and planting. A smart home system controls lighting, air conditioning, curtains and the water curtain.
Truffle Forest Residential by Tai Chen was recognized as an outstanding example of architectural design by the A' Design Award. Truffle Forest Residential received the Bronze A' Design Award in Interior Space and Exhibition Design in 2021. The A' Interior Space, Retail and Exhibition Design Award is a juried, academic and highly prestigious design recognition program which honors outstanding design of residential interiors, restaurants, hotels, offices, galleries, retail stores, showrooms, exhibition spaces and more.
