Maoyuan Jingxi
Maoyuan Jingxi is a residential interior design created for collectors of art. The 680 square meter space is located in Beijing, China, and is arranged over five floors, each with its own function. Fashion is the main theme, and the concept extends from fabric manipulation to space design. Materials include metal, carved glass, textile art and stone textures. Handicraft techniques are applied to custom furniture. A collection room on the second basement level displays artworks and is linked to the dining room by an indoor waterfall. Art is integrated into daily life.
Maoyuan Jingxi Showroom by Ask Studio has been identified as a grand example of architectural design by the A' Design Award. Maoyuan Jingxi Showroom received the Silver A' Design Award in Interior Space and Exhibition Design in 2021. The A' Interior Space, Retail and Exhibition Design Award is an international, meritocratic, just and fair design award which celebrates excellent design of residential interiors, restaurants, hotels, offices, galleries, retail stores, showrooms, exhibition spaces and more.
