Hidden Home Residential Building

Hidden Home

Hidden Home is a residential building located in Taoyuan City, Taiwan, with a property area of 542.8 square meters. The main structure is made of fair faced concrete and slate stones, combined with linear wooden grilles that resemble a square curtain. Massive olive green stones on the exterior give a solid appearance. Light passes through the wooden grilles, while vertical wooden shelves and furniture create a warm and calm interior. The layout is based on a courtyard, and a water wall with planting supports a relaxed and private family life.

Hidden Home Residential Building by Ping-Hsin Chen was highlighted as a creative example of architectural design by the A' Design Awards. Hidden Home Residential Building received the Iron A' Design Award in Architecture, Building and Structure Design in 2020. The A' Architecture, Building and Structure Design Award is an international, jury-voted, fair and ethical design competition that honors exceptional design of skyscrapers, museums, residential buildings, commercial complexes, educational institutions, religious structures, infrastructure designs, landscaping projects and more.
