Dream Shadows
Dream Shadows is an interior design for a duplex apartment of 198 square meters in New Taipei City, Taiwan. The design follows a simple Japanese style, with calm lines, earth colors and natural materials. The living room and the dining room form one public area that can also be used as two separate spaces. A television wall with display shelves on the reverse side links the two rooms and makes better use of the floor plan. Wood veneers on the ceiling conceal the columns. Materials include painted iron, painted veneers, system boards and wear-resistant wood floors.
Dream Shadows Residential Apartment by Chih Chieh Tien has been identified as an innovative illustration of architectural design by the A' Design Awards. Dream Shadows Residential Apartment was awarded the Bronze A' Design Award in Interior Space and Exhibition Design in 2020. The A' Interior Space, Retail and Exhibition Design Award is an international, juried, academic and meritocratic design recognition program which recognizes excellent design of residential interiors, restaurants, hotels, offices, galleries, retail stores, showrooms, exhibition spaces and more.
